All things fall
Like the falling leaves
All things fall
Sometimes soft and silent
Like a snowflake
Sometimes with a crash
Like a broken boulder
Pitching mightily into the mountain torrentBut the leaves fall copper and gold
Warm in their dying
Like my love which can never grow cold
Though it too, perhaps, must die someday.
But rather like a brother
For a lifetime
Than like a lover
For a night.
No envy or fear
Must ever come near
Nor false promises
To cover the fear
Of knowing
That everything is going.
Infinity a home
Eyes which will always stare
Whispering, wondering wide
And no more tears
Till infinitys knots untied
